1.) Review the job description, highlight and write down all of the skills, attributes, strengths or competencies that the job description is asking for.
2.) For each entry write a brief example of how you can demonstrate this with your own experience.
3.) For each of these examples turn it into a question you may be asked in an interview and prep a structured answer using the STAR Technique.
“Tell me about a time when you have demonstrated. [insert competency]”
SITUATION. Start by giving the background to set the scene, what was happening where and when it happened.
TASK. Explain what you were required to do.This is where you describe how you dealt with the task and what your contribution was
ACTION. Descirbe the specific actions you took, and the skills and behaviours you used to achieve the goals outlined in the task
RESULT. Describe the outcome, what you achieved and any learnings - Be specific, and if you can include any stats or data to back this up
