Transitioning from university into employment is an exciting milestone, but it can also
be one of the most psychologically challenging periods in a young person's life.
Graduates often experience a loss of routine and identity, uncertainty about the
future, increased self-comparison, financial pressures, and repeated rejection
throughout the job search process.
The Professional Wellbeing and Resilience workshops are designed to support
graduates through this transition by developing the psychological skills needed to
navigate change, manage setbacks, maintain wellbeing, and build confidence
throughout their early career journey.
Using evidence-informed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) principles alongside
practical wellbeing strategies, participants will develop a toolkit to help them remain
motivated, resilient and psychologically prepared as they move from student life into
employment.
The workshops are designed to complement The Life Project's employability
coaching. Whilst employability sessions focus on how to secure employment, the
Pathways workshops focus on how to maintain wellbeing, confidence and resilience
throughout the process.
Participants will receive an interactive workbook containing reflective exercises, goal-
setting activities and practical tools to encourage continued learning and
accountability between sessions.
